Bondurant Middle School has had quite the impressive academic team season. We could not be more proud of our Braves and all they've accomplished. Please take a moment to read all of their state achievements, shared by BMS Academic Coach, Robbie Roberts.
"Bondurant had an outstanding ending to the academic competition season this weekend competing at the 2025 Gov's Cup State Finals at the Galt House in Louisville. The state finals are a culmination of the academic competition season, which starts out with over 300 middle schools and over 1000 competitors in each category.
In quick recall, Bondurant started Monday's final single elimination bracket as one of the last 16 teams standing in the state. The Braves moved on to the quarterfinals with a victory over league and region rival Woodford County. BMS kept the momentum going in the quarterfinals with a victory over St. Joseph Crescent Springs to move on to the final four.
Unfortunately, Bondurant ran into the eventual state champion quick recall team Johnson Co. and lost in the semis, moving into a consolation match against Calloway Co. After a close match, Calloway pulled away at the end. BMS ended up with an outstanding 4th place finish in the state in quick recall, the second highest finish in school history!
